Frequently asked
Everything you need to know about Planark — free vs Pro, how trips are built, where our data comes from, and why we never push bookings.
Is Planark free to use?
Yes — Planark is free to download. Discovery, regional loops, and showcase-length trips are free with no account required. Planark Pro unlocks deeper trip generation (more days, more cities, more places per itinerary), offline trip access, and advanced sharing tools. No ads or booking commissions either way.
What is Planark Pro?
Planark Pro is a subscription that unlocks the full planning depth: longer itineraries, multi-city trips with no cap, offline download for any trip, and the full sharing hub. It's how we fund the product without selling your attention or adding booking pressure. Monthly and annual plans are available.
What destinations does Planark cover?
Planark prioritises depth over breadth — with strong coverage across Europe and a growing catalogue of destinations worldwide. New destinations are added regularly. Quality of coverage always comes before quantity.
How are itineraries generated?
Planark combines your inputs (where, when, vibe, travel group) with real destination data to build a structured day-by-day plan. The route, timing, and places come from verified sources — AI is used for orchestration and enrichment, not to invent places. Every itinerary is a strong first draft you can edit freely.
Where does the content come from?
Planark pulls from Wikivoyage (190K+ travel guides), OpenStreetMap (10M+ contributors), WeatherKit for live conditions, and live web context where needed. All places and coordinates are real and verified — not scraped reviews, not chatbot hallucinations.
Does Planark work offline?
Yes — Planark Pro users can download any trip before they travel. The full itinerary, day maps, and guide content are cached locally and work without a connection. Useful for international travel, remote areas, or anywhere signal is unreliable.
Can I share my itinerary with others?
Yes. From any trip you can share a live link (your companions see the full day-by-day plan), a hero sticker for Instagram Stories, a route map snapshot, or plain text. Shared trips are private by default — only people with the link can view them.
Is this only for families?
Not at all. Planark works for solo travellers, couples, groups, and families. Travel style, pacing, and vibe are part of the wizard inputs — the plan adapts to what you're actually looking for.
Why isn't there a booking button?
Because that's not what we do. Booking platforms have commercial incentives that shape every recommendation you see. Planark doesn't. We're a planning tool — what you do with your plan is entirely up to you.
